come to think of it a proxy regardless of using it for censorship would be good anyways just for it's caching capability. If we haven't been using one we should, given that our bandwidth is usually sucking, maybe we can free some up by caching stuff, the proxy should be transparent.

Lee is planning on attending next year I sure he would share his squid

safe proxy filter for next year?
I got nothing against kids. but here's the way to look at it.
WE DON'T CENSOR THE COMPUTER LOUNGE

people could look at pr0n on the computers, it would be slow but they
could. they could look at pictures of people with bullet wounds (or
there face blown off, and I know where to find some of this). we aren't
censoring things. I think It would just be better to have a sign kids
under the age of 18 _should_ be accompanied by an adult, and we are not
responsible for anything they are exposed to, including but not limited
to, profanity, violence, and nudity. Unless someone wants to install
nanny software and lock the terminal server down next year. Maybe I'll
pull a Tyler Durden with the projector to prove a point (if you don't
get the reference go watch, or read the book, "fight club", I have
copies of both).

teaching them freedom songs about Richard Stallman and Linus Torvalds,
Seriously, though, what is with all the negative references to children
in the computer lounge? I spent as much time there as anyone, and I
didn't see any problems with them. They didn't deprive anyone of use
of

the terminals, didn't run around or scream and yell. You don't even
know if that was their empty condom box that was found.
