By now you all know of my interest in Nanotechnology and my ongoing
efforts to inform you about it.<br>
Related to that, I'm scheduled to present a Nanotechnology course
for the Michigan State University Evening College (
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.msualum.com/evecoll/">http://www.msualum.com/evecoll/</a> ) again this year -- for Spring
Semester 2010. Information from the catalog is included below.<br>
If you -- or someone you know -- is interested in learning more
about nanotechnology, I encourage you to sign up. The course assumes
no prior knowledge of the topic and there's usually a lot of
conversation, as well as questions and my best efforts to provide
answers.<br>
However, as of last Friday, only three people had registered. If
we don't have at least ten people the course will be canceled.<br>
So, here's your chance.<br>

<big><b>Nanotechnology: Coming Soon to a Store near You</b></big>

decade into the 21st century, nanotechnology is becoming a household
word yet few people understand it. Join Frank Dolinar who will
introduce you to the basic concepts of nanotechnology and its growing
capabilities. Since our ancestors crafted spear points from flint
11,000 years ago, our technologies have depended on our ability to
shape and use materials. Today, we are beginning to craft materials,
objects, and devices using atoms and small molecules as the building
blocks and we have astonishing new developments in materials, energy,
computers, and medicine. Recent nanotech news has described batteries
as thin as paper; wall-sized video displays a mere quarter-inch thick;
effective cancer treatments with no chemotherapy side effects; and
smaller, faster, cheaper, and smarter computers. The future is coming
sooner than you think!</span></p>
