source code, since samba is about a network protocol, not a file

be Microsoft. MSDN is expensive, but full of useful information.<br>

What you won't find is source code for the file system, because
that's Microsoft's intellectual property and they aren't going to
give it away.<br>

Linux has limited support for NTFS, and the drivers and utilities
for it are open source. It's a bit of a crap shoot, because this
is all reverse engineered, but it might have what you need.<br>

Subject: [GLLUG] Documentation for NTFS<br>
Date: Thu, Apr 18, 2013 1:05 pm<br>
<br>
<br>
I cant find documentation, for NTFS on disk structures,
and NTFS fault <br>
tolerant filesystem updates.<br>
<br>
I could find some documentations, but they were far from
complete.<br>
<br>
NTFS-3G exists. But that is pure source code. The
NTFS-3G <br>
documentation completely talks about using the driver,
no internals.<br>
<br>
Anybody know more?<br>
