When I was in school, my girlfriend lived on the other side of oldtown. Any woman walking the streets could safely be assumed to be a working professional.  The head shop and the junkyard on the next block don't suggest that it's improved as much as you'd like to believe.<br>

Bottom line, we've already had one female member suggest that she's not 100% comfortable. If one has spoken up, there are certainly other people who might have considered attending who won't be because of the location.<br>
