Dear Colleagues,
 
 	The April STEM Teaching Essentials will be held on Wednesday, April 15 from 11:30A - 1:30P (lunch provided).  This workshop will feature Dr. David Asai, Director of Undergraduate Programs at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI).  Dr. Asai will speak on “Race Matters.”   The talk will take place in the Spartan Rooms, B & C, in the International Center.

	David is an eloquent speaker and passionate advocate for the need to increase diversity in STEM, an influential figure in national efforts in STEM Education, and a sponsor of our HHMI project efforts on campus.
