Just like last year, the MSU Digital Humanities group are offering free
workshops to students, staff and faculty. I attended a couple (on GitHub
and Python) that were pretty helpful for sociolinguists. You might also

Dear colleagues,

Happy Fall to everyone! We have a series of 5 Digital Humanities workshops
lined up for this semester, and we look forward to seeing you at one or
several of them. Find out more, including links to registration, at

   - Sept 8 (Thurs) - Getting Started in the Digital Humanities: Beginner
   Tools, Library, 3W Instruction Room
   - Sept 20 (Tues) - Github and Git for Humanists, Library, 3W Instruction
   Room
   - Oct 5 (Wed) - Visualizing Data with Tableau, Library, 3W Instruction
   Room
   - Oct 26 (Wed) - 3D Modeling with Photogrammetry, LEADR, Old
   Horticulture 112
   - Nov 15 (Tues) - Brief Introduction to Topic Modeling, Library, 3W
   Instruction Room

These workshops are open to anyone, from faculty and staff to grad students
and undergraduates. Registration is encouraged but not required - feel free
to drop in!
