Apprentices, Allies, and Accomplices.</span><span style="margin:0px; font-weight:400; font-size:11pt; font-family:Arial">” This interactive zoom session provided a key opportunity for white linguists to reflect upon the ways we promote, support, and engage
with Black scholars in our field, and to propose crucial next steps for improving on our equitable practices in linguistics. Participants expressed the need for a more regular set of white allyship workshops. Using Mary Bucholtz’s guide, “</span><span style="margin:0px; font-weight:700; font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">How
white linguists can support Black linguists: A crowd-sourced document</span><span style="margin:0px; font-weight:400; font-size:11pt; font-family:Arial">” from AAAL2, we will continue developing our understanding of and commitment to allyship.</span></p>
