I'm not planning to go get one, by the way.  Unfortunately I
already own too much stuff; it's just not practical to move
another computer around every time I go home or come back to MSU.

(Though, I *am* thinking about buying a new machine this summer
or fall.)

These systems are able to run a sparc based linux ... but they are on the
slower side... I belive that they run around the 30 mhz range .... uh ...
I think 
 Each machine that I have out now does have ram and a hard drive. One has
64 mb ram and like a 400 mb hard drive. Comes with a rather nice 20 inch
monitor... wow
