I would be kind of mean. 

Dear Editor,

Sir I realize you think Windows is the BEST operating system out there. It
is for Games (the Mac is closing that gap though). It is obvious by your
idiotic statements and your poor journalism skills this is the only basis
you have to base your opinion on. You obviously don't use it for your
research(what research?). I would think that even writing such statements
without having a fair basis of comparison or any rational statements in
support of your allegations. I would think you might want to consider
dropping out of Journalism and maybe pursue a literary career in fiction.
