I had this exact same problem installing RedHat 6.2 just a few days ago. I was
able to correct it by doing a forced reinstall of apache.

mount /mnt/cdrom (redhat cd)
cd /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS
rpm --install --force apache-x.x.x.rpm

It seemed to be caused by using Linuxconf to set up the web server. A little
problem about assigning the correct ServerName directive, but I was never able
to pin it down. Good luck.
