Laptop Linux

I am running Debian (potato) on a Dell Inspiron 3700.  Both debian-laptop

Steve Hsieh's Linux Notebook HQ
 http://www.eecs.umich.edu/~steveh/inspiron/ ) were very useful during
setup. Also, Debian's apt-get works well for updating packages.  I still
haven't gotten my mailer (exim) to work properly, however, but I think this
is due to my own networking-knowledge deficit.
