With some help (thanks Sean) apple services are up and running on our Linux server. The problem turned out to be a conflict in /etc/services on port 1 which the apple netatalk requires. RedHat 5.2 had that set up for tcpmux. Does anyone know what I've disabled in remarking the tcpmux line in favor of the netatalk port assignment? Mike Rambo Lansing School District
