Hmmm, that's a challenging one, I would imagine with some frobbing
around you could get a SLIP or PLIP connection up to another Linux box.
After that, an FTP or NFS install would be possible.

Ah ha! In Slackware 7.0, the "net.i" install image has support for NFS
over PLIP (Parallel IP) install. To quote the readme file:

<quote>
net.i

This disk also includes PLIP support, but you'll need
to pass a parameter to the kernel to tell the parallel
port driver which IRQ to use. For example, if you want
to use a parallel port on 0x378, IRQ 7, you would use
this command on the bootdisk's 'boot:' prompt:

ramdisk parport=0x378,7

You may also use this command to make the driver
autodetect your port and IRQ:

ramdisk parport=auto
</quote>

BTW, Slackware boots from two floppies (boot and root) and then you can
mount the slackware CD over the [PLIP] network.

Good luck,
-Ben
