Yes, that's easy to do.  But it's also easy to fix: stick a bit
of that green or yellow stuff for tacking up posters inside the
key.  It will hold the keycap in position and allow the keyboard
to work just fine.  I've fixed at least 3 keyboards this way and
then used them for at least a year each afterward, so this is
good enough for a permanent fix.
