nightmare

Hmmm, from the sounds of it, if you are certain you don't have a wiring
problem, I would really be suspect of the machines on the inside of your
network. Here's why.
- ifconfig is reporting mac addresses on both cards and they seem to have
worked ( you said they both sucessfully connected to TCI, right?)
- with that in mind, you "know" the network cards are good.
- Assuming your wiring is good (big assumption, I've seen wiring that
reported just fine according to wiring meters but wasn't able to run traffic
worth crap.) The config on the windows machines are wrong, or your hub is
dead/ not working right. I would seriously concider checking out the
network with one windows machine, the linux machine and a known good
crossover cable. That way you eliminate all the wiring except one piece of
cable.
>From the data you supplied, it looks like it's setup right, at least so that
the windows machine should be able to ping the linux box. As for getting
from the windows machine outside, I don't see your ipchains setup, so I
can't comment on that.
Hope this has been helpful.
