The Sunday April 1st meeting of GLLUG had 9 attendees.

I presented a discussion of open-source licenses. I compared language
in the M$ EULA to the GPL. We talked about the BSD license as well.

Ben Pfaff recommended two books by Steven Levy:
Hackers: Heroes of the Computer Revolution
Crypto : How the Code Rebels Beat the Government -- Saving Privacy in
the Digital Age

Ben mentioned that he was accepted to grad school at Stanford and is
going this fall. Congradulations Ben!

Jim Tuma brought in a Pentium class box to get the club's help
installing Linux on it. The RedHat 7 install was successful. He plans
to use it as a file/print server for some Windows boxes.

Roger Webster brought in a Mac box to show to the group that he picked
up real cheap at MSU salvage. Sean offered some advice on installing
Linux on it.

Next meeting: Sunday, April 29th 5:00 PM at MLC.
Topic: Matt Graham will present An Intro to the X window system (TIA
Matt!)

Meeting after that: Sunday, May 27th. 5:00PM at MLC.
Topic: (tenative) I will present a review of the SANS[1] 2001 conference
that will will have recently returned from.

Requested future topics:
Perl Programming
GnuPG

Anyone else have topics they want to presented? Also, anyone willing to
present a topic or present one of the two topics above?

I think we will just meet once a month at least through August.
