> accepted method nowdays. I've heard mixed things across different cable modem
services as far as port blocking goes. Mine (TCIMET) doesn't block anything, ho
wever it's only offered in 3 cities and is expen$ive! @home for sure does not bl
ock ssh, around here and I know they don't block ssh or UDP 500 out east. Anyway
s, I hope this makes sense as I've been up for about 5 minutes, and hope it give
s you some useful information.

I dunno. I don't consider TCImet expensive. Over the last 3 years we had maybe
10 outages and half of those were more than 2 years ago. I much rather pay 90
dollars and get true unlimited uncapped unblocked service than 35 for a service
where I can't figure out if I am walking the line by taking/using certain
actions/services. TCI is the no frills service I love to see everywhere. I
don't need no 5 MB homepage with ISP url. I don't need no ISP developed
browser. I don't need no technician to come to my house for service (if there
is a decent guide online how to hook up). I don't need mandatory http and ftp
ISP proxies. I don't need ISP provided email services. I just want the line and
that unlimited in any way.
