dyndns.org and pump

In the past, I made use of the network scripts ifup and ifdown
to send commands to a dynamic dns.
I didn't see anything on dyndns.org, but I think I remember
seeing tidbits of this in action on other dynamic dns sites.
Might be something to look into for examples.
