First off The Register, never has the most accurate news, and I always
wondered whether it was a news or humour site, it ranks up their with
slashdot and userfriendly in my book.

Second http://www.avp.com/php_newworld.html
has the virus info, and it looks like it only affects windows users so no
big hairy deal as far as I am concerned. =) But it would be fun to see
some actual source code =)

Third. the writer posting the story is pen named Johnny Leydon. The more
famous Johnny Leydon aka Johnny Rotten was the lead singer for the Sex
Pistols in the mid-late 70's and went on to form PIL (Public Image
Limited) in the early 80's.

Fourth C|NET is becoming less a hardcore news place and more geared
towards business ie watered down. I see a lot of references to C|NET on
business pages when looking up news for stock symbols by various news
sources. I believe this started about 6 months ago, when cnet realized it
was losing money and needed to gain more customers. But I dont recall the
exact time-frame or the exact reasons.
