I still got my non-graphing calculator I got when I was in 3rd grade. That is
... 15 years ago. I changed the batteries only once since then. The thing works
like a charm and seems to be made out of Titanium. There is one thing
the Commies could do right and that is make products which last a lifetime.

the name of the thing is 'Schulrechner SR1' (school calculator SR1) It's got
all the necessities and none of the fancies. y^x, x^2, 1/x, sq rt, eex, pi,
sin, cos, tan and the arcs of those, %, ln, lg, and temp storage as well as
deg, rad and grd lever at top

The best thing about it is the liquid display is a whole lot easier to read
than any of the new stuff. I just find the graphing calculators all got this
glare which makes them hard to read off of. I got a ti 81 and I don't like it
much.
