I once used it (a number of years ago) to reverse-engineer a
card's device driver. I installed Windows 95 into it and
modified it to log all input and output to the ports that the
card used, as well as pass through the port accesses on the
virtual hardware to the machine's real hardware. It worked
great, albeit reducing the performance of my PII/233 to maybe a
386/16.
