No, AMRs don't work... yet. There is a mid-level driver in the works for
them though (of course that depends on the completion of the low-level
driver... Lucent Winmodems work great, with RPMs (and .debs) of the latest
5.99's floating around, I've also heard good things about PCTel's chipsets,
and IBM has open-sourced it's MWave drivers, but that's about it.
