DSL/Cable in the W. Lansing area?

I have ACD.net I am in central Lansing. Service and speed has been
impressive.

My wife does some consulting work for a west-side company and they
wanted her to look into DSL for them. She talked to ACD about it and
they said that Ameritech botched-up (big surprise) their planning for
west-side growth and placed their CO (central office) a long ways from
the bulk of the west side. They told her that most west-side locations
are too far away from from the CO for reliable service. ACD also told
her that Amertitech is working to resolv the problem by placing remote
CO's closer to the growth areas. Supposedly this is going to be in
place in the next 6 months (yeah right).

Give ACD a call, its worth a try.

BTW: they recently lowered their monthly rate to $50. They also gave us
the modem for free even though they say their 1 year contract required
$199 for the modem.

I was skeptical about ACD, but they have proven to be very reliable.
