Well, there's a small place on the west side called "Good Deals" that
stocks parts as well.  If you need a 486, an ISA Real Modem, or EDO RAM,
you can get it there.  They also have more current x86 junk.  It's on 1406
W. Saginaw (eastbound).  Like Sean said, CompUselessA is also around. 
There's also Digilink in Okemos.

Getting an AT&T cable modem going is pretty simple.  They'll give you a
hostname, something like "C-1337-FOO", on the work order for the
connection.  You connect your machine to the cablemodem via Ethernet, then
you run "dhcpcd -h C-1337-FOO eth0" and you're good to go.  Keep in mind
that they block incoming traffic to port 80 and cap the upstream at 128...

Yes, organization for the group is basically nonexistent now.  More
informal get-togethers would be a good thing.  I'd be up for working on an
installfest....
