I like the Xircom RealPort NICs, personally. Mostly because there's no
dongle to lose or break, and they are well supported under Linux. I
have had problems with the RealPort combo cards (NIC + fax/modem)
stealing control of /dev/ttyS0 (COM1) and preventing the regular serial
port from working.

I'm looking for an inexpensive PCMCIA NIC for my old GNU/Linux laptop.
My
primary concerns are that it be inexpensive, and easily used on Linux.
What
do you folks recommend?
Thanks.
