[GLLUG] error when booting Mandrake 8.2

Joshua, I had a similar problem configuring 8.1 for my laptop. Especially if
you have an older BIOS, you may need to add the following option to the boot
command line: nobiospnp. Go to the Mandrake Control Center, boot config,
then from there find the option for appending to the command line (sorry I
can't be more exact-- I don't have my Linux machine with me), and enter
nobiospnp there, separated by a space from whatever else is already entered.
Then you'll have to restart for it to take effect (I think).
I'm a newbie too, so no warranty is express or implied!
