OK, then here are my suggestions. If you have a DVD drive, or a CD
drive you may want to use w/ Xine, you'll want to issue the following
command:

`ln -s /dev/dvd /dev/XXXX` where XXXX == the block device name of your
DVD/CD drive.

IDE Devices:
	hda == primary master
	hdb == primary slave
	hdc == secondary master
	hdd == secondary slave
	[same for hde through hdh if you]
	[have a second IDE controller ]

SCSI Devices:
	sda == first SCSI disk
	sdb == second SCSI disk
	sdc == third SCSI disk
	[you get the picture...]

Otherwise, you may just want to ignore it as it isn't likely to hurt
anything. Out of curiosity, what type of system is it you're running
on?

Hello again,

I have what you asked for Paul

output of `ls -l /dev/dvd`

ls: /dev/dvd: No such file or directory

output of cat /etc/fstab

/dev/hda3 / ext3 noatime 1 1
/dev/hda1 /boot ext3 noatime 1 2
none /dev/pts devpts mode=0620 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
/mnt/cdrom /mnt/cdrom supermount
       dev=/dev/scd0,fs=iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0
/mnt/floppy /mnt/floppy supermount

dev=/dev/fd0,fs=vfat,--,iocharset=iso8859-1,umask=0,sync,codepage=850 0
0
/dev/hda2 /mnt/windows vfat iocharset=iso8859-1,umask=0,codepage=850 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hda5 swap swap defaults 0 0

The indented lines are contuniations of the lines above--I hope. Not
sure
if it will be formatted the same for everyone.

Joshua
