I also like the every third Wednesday of the month, like the WLUG does (every third Thursday of the month). At this time I don't think we have a strong enough group of "core" members, so the shotgun rule works out, if you have something yell. If not, no big deal. If the meetings were as successfully as the last meeting maybe things will change real quick though. I personally feel that if we have a neato "web" system, then we will just be sending emails about what dates to put on the voting system instead of the actual "RE: meeting" dates. So in my opinion it doesn't really solve anything and doesn't pass the KISS rule.

Just my $0.03

Whether to keep the variable times that we have done in the past or whether perhaps a more structured method is in mind. I personally try to attend 2600 meetings which are very structured as in "Always the first Friday of every month from 5pm-12am" at various locations around the world." I'm not suggesting we need something *This* structured, however I know personally if it's something that's a constant it is easy to fit into my highly variable schedule. Just some thoughts. Perhaps a vaguely-lengthy discussion is in order to come up with some ideas for both increased popularity/publicity for the club and for meeting structures.
