Greetings all,

Sorry for the semi-off topic post, but I am a perl developer currently located
in SE Michigan. As a result of the many local lay-offs from the big three auto
makers as well as some local hard-luck corporate stories (Toys R Us, KMart,
Henry Ford Health Care, Service Merchandise, etc.) I have not been having much
luck finding new work.

Before branching out into other endeavors, I would prefer to exhaust my means
of searching for perl jobs. My last few jobs have all involved perl scripting
(both Win32 and *nix based, with mixed structured and OOP programming using
many CPAN packages least of which is DBI to MySQL, PostgreSQL and oracle) with
the most recent being the lead programmer on the new www.crainsdetroit.com
website for Crain's Detroit Business. (the engine was also later used for
www.michigannonprofit.com and michigan.craintech.com)

In addition to doing the perl solutions programming, I have also been at least
partly, if not entirely responsible for installing/administering the perl
installations in some cases the servers (combinations of winNT, win9x and
linux/solaris) used for development and testing. (i.e. thus I am also
experienced with various platform support issues and administration or system
analysis)

My resume is available in the most current format at:
http://www.geocities.com/treii28/resume
(multiple formats to chose from)

I would be willing to relocate, however I may require at least some assistance
with moving expenses. The best route to get ahold of me is by email, but there
is other contact information available on the above website/download-page.

Thanks,

Scott Webster Wood
