[GLLUG] Meeting Night (B-BALL Game, Bad Weather, PoorNotification...)

Maybe we should have meetings at 6am before work. This almost eliminates
all possible conflicts.

I don't mind the 1 locked, one mobile meeting idea, but maybe we should do
"activities" instead of a meeting for the floating date. Maybe a quest to
the k-zoo or Detroit, installfest, ad campaign/promotion/membership drive,
helping a business/school, etc..)

I think I remember different people writing that they can't make Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, so it seems unlikely that we can find a day for the permanent meeting that will accomodate everyone, but if the second meeting per month changes the day of week every time, then most people ought to be able to make it at least some of the time.

Someone (not necessarily me) should setup a quick little polling system where people on the list can vote for what day(s) and times they would like to see the meetings. Once we get a vote from most of the list we could more less etch it in stone that the meeting is at this time at one of these places. I attend monthly meetings down in A^2 and the solidity of the schedule makes it easy for me to go and plan around/with it. As for the voting I was thinking perhaps a little PHP site running on Linux and apache just for geek points since it is the LINUX USERS group. Or if no one has the time perhaps a quick and dirty email account setup where people can simply send mails to with their votes in the subject for quick processing.
