Lat nights meeting we had 8 people attend:

Roger Webster, Brian Hoort, Chuck Williams, David Dielhl, Jeff Lawton, Susan
Chiang, Yao-Ying Chien, Brian Hefferan

This meeting was to discuss many of the structural items involved with the
Linux Users Group. Many decisions were made and many ideas for future
meetings established.

Items:
1) Official meetings with presentations will be held at 6:00pm on the first
Wednesday of each month unless it would conflict with a holiday. In such
case be moved to the following Wednesday
2) Remove the shotgun rules from the website.
3) Add a membership/contact list to a members only section of the website.
4) Adopt a mission, vision, and guiding principles from an amalgamation of
other LUG's mission, vision, guiding principles that fit us.
5) Route the website email addresses to the list to allow easy reply to
questions without having to have a single person responsible.
6) Setup communication with other lugs in Michigan through sending important
things to each others lists.
7) Continue researching the pros and cons of non-profit status.
8) General meeting structure:
a. Introductions
b. Newbies Mini presentation (20min)
c. Tips and Tricks Mini presentation (20 min)
d. Q&A
e. Freeform
f. Following each meeting Gllug business discussed
Periodically there may be a longer presentation

9) The notes and materials from mini topics to be added to the website.
10) Come up with survey topics for the site.
11) Add an automated message to post meeting announcements to the list
possibly 1 week before and 2 days before.
12) Have a suggestion box for topics and presenters to volunteers to
present.
13) Voting will occur at meetings
14) The moderator of each meeting will be accomplished through a rotation of
the committee members.
15) The Secretary of each meeting will also be via rotation of the committee
members.



The regular meeting will be held July 10th the second Wednesday day of July
due to the 4th of July conflict. The Newbie section will cover "Configuring
Bash" presented by Roger Webster. The Tip and Tricks section will be "vi the
Basics" presented by Chuck Williams.

A Social meeting/BBQ (picnic table roast) will be held June 19th at a
location to be announced. This will be potluck style similar to the event at
Moores River Park but to be held at someone's private residence to avoid
restrictions on consumables (BEER). Watch the list for further details.
