[GLLUG] KDE from command line

Ok, I'm trying to start a kde Xsession on another virtual terminal.
Gnome is my default gui so I'm trying to figure out what I need to type
in order to start a kde session. Any idea's?

I've tried a few variations of "startx -- :1" but it just drops me into
a gnome session or freaks out, quits the new session and drops me back
to a command line.

anyone feel like throwing me a bone?
