Hello,

Thank you for all of your quick repies.

I have re-installed XP pro on a FAT32 partition. I want to put Red Hat
7.1 on as well and dual boot.

The specs of my computer are:

Dell Inspiron 8100
Pentium 1.00 ghz
256 ram
18.1 gig hard drive
DVD/CD-RW combo Toshiba

Currently, I have the whole disk as a FAT 32 partition.
I want to be able to use Linux to its fullest potential while I am
learning it, so what would be a recommended amout of disk space to give
it. I am thinking 6 gigs.
How should I partition the drive once I decide on the size, and finally
how do I set up the LILO once everything is installed.

I know a partitionless intallation is an option, but I would rather not
have to carry a boot disk areound with me when I want to mess around
with Linux.

Thanks,

Joshua
