Need help with xml. Maybe someone here is familiar?
I've been asked to produce code at our end that a copyright clearinghouse
can read at their end.
At their end -- www.icopyright.com -- they can accept either html meta tags
or xml. I did the html meta tags first and it went fine.
The xml is new to me. My contact has given me samples and some vague
instructions.
Generally, as I understand it, I "feed"
http://sme.org/cgi-bin/icopyright.pl?3.5321& to them and they know what to
do with it.
By going to my script at sme.org/cgi-bin/icopyright.pl?3.5321& and viewing
the source, you can see the sample XML tags they provided me. I modified
them for one of our articles.
To say I don't know what I'm doing is an understatement. I thought maybe I'd
ask around.
The "XML Feed Method" is what I'm interested in.
I'm told to create a script "that is readily available any time we need to
access the content".
You can see the original (unadorned) article at

Or if you're interested, see our two magazines at
