Reportedly NetBSD runs on everything in the known solar system. I know squat
about NeXT machines, but according to NetBSD's supported hardware page
(http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/), there is a next68k port in the latest release
and it's said to be stable. (The description says "NeXT 68k 'black' hardware".)

Hope that helps.
