[GLLUG] the battery-less laptop

You want one with a separate cmos/firmware battery.  All the Apples
portables are like this. (at least from the PB 140 series on up circa
90s).I know some of the PC laptops used to use the battery for their CMOS
settings. I don't know if this is a common practice or not anymore.

I had an old kaypro portable that didn't ever have a battery, but I
wouldn't exactly call it a laptop either. *lol*
