[GLLUG] compiling a new kernel

Nah...just going on what tripped me and a few others up.
Do you have an exact error messsage or can you tell us the last thing
displayed when it hangs on boot?

Actually it's ext2. The kernel is a bzImage instead of zImage. Could that 
make a difference?
