You might also want to check the WebJunction (http://www.webjunction.org) This online community is geared mostly toward school and public libraries, but at least you can see what kind kind of open-source related articles that have been posted there.  There are people for whatever reason end up have to deal with open source systems as part of their job responsibilities.
