[GLLUG] Really poor SuSE 9 performance

You could try a lighter WM just to see if it helps, though my guess is
that performance is due to the X server process itself.  I would
recommend WindowMaker for testing.  If you're getting lousy performance
and CPU spikes within WindowMaker, you know there is a problem with the
X server.
