I've done a bit of googling, and couldn't find an answer to this question,
but is there a way or utility that would allow me to assign a lower
priority to a process? I have htdig running on a slower box (via nightly
cron), and I would like to prevent it from dominating all the server's
resources while its running. I know Windows has a way to assign a lower
priority to processes, so I suspect there must be a way to do it in Linux
as well. Thanks.
