[GLLUG] Gentoo Portage Question

I assume G2 meant Gentoo =P
My suggestion would be to not use the LiveCD, and instead, install from 
the net.  That way it will only download and install the packages you 
choose.  This way you dont need to copy an entire tree (if your not 
going to use it all, its a waste of space).  Granted, if you don't have 
a broadband connection, it might take some time, but on broadband, its 
very quick.
