The difference between a 1024 X 768 projector and an 800 x 600 one is
usually a thousand dollars or more. They're still not all that common.

I have never had resolution problems but would recommend that 1024x768
be the target resolution for presentations to be safe. It works well
with both of my laptops, window 2000 at 1024x768, and Fedora C3 at
1600x1400.

I have about a half dozen switches and can provide 48 to 96 ports.
Should be plenty for the group.
