Discussion Items:
1.Website
---------

a.Migration Status Update The website is ready to be switched over to 
our Mambo site.  Jeff Lawton will be moving the site.

b.The GLLUG would like to have Clay Dowling as our webmaster.

i.Anyone may sign up for an account in the new Mambo system.  This 
allows users to submit items.  The items will be live on the site after 
being reviewed and approved by members with the appropriate permissions.

ii.Do not post copyrighted material.  Do not bash people, ideas, or 
other technologies.  This does not win people over.

iii.Contact Information - Officers' contact information will be viewable 
by the public.

iv.Storage - Currently the upload limit is capped at 2MB.

2.Marketing

a.Penguicon - Charles Ulrich will be heading up an effort to have a 
better computer lounge at Penguicon 4.0 next year.

i.Purpose: General use (Email, web browsing) and showcasing open source 
software.

ii.Ideas:
1.Use LTSP to provide 20-30 clients
2.Knoppix CDs to use windows machines as open source machines
3."Distro Burning Bar" - Input a blank CD and select a distribution to 
make a copy of
4.Provide security, wipe hard drives after the con.

iii.Needs:
1.Volunteers - So far we have Charles Ulrich, Jeff Lawton, Marshall, 
Bong, Lee Putnam, and  David Smith
2.Approximate Hardware:
a.1 High End LTSP box
b.20-30 Low end machines
c.30-40 monitors
d.10 medium range machines

b.Flyers - Brian Hefron will be working on flyers to promote the GLLUG. 
  Please contact him if you have artwork or suggestions or would like to 
help.

3.Incorporation
---------------
Status Update - We need to be a legal entity (incorporated) or 
affiliated with MSU to open a Michigan State Federal Credit Union 
Account.  David Smith will look into the pros and cons of becoming an 
MSU-affiliated organization.

4.Meetings
----------
This summer meetings will be held on the second week of each month.  If 
you would like to present please contact Charles Ulrich.

a.The officers will meet the first Thursday of the month this summer.

b.Future Presentations / Projects

i.MythTV - Eric Miller will head up this project.  Please contact him if 
you would like to be involved.

ii.Penguicon/Terminal Server - Charles Ulrich will head up this project. 
  Please contact him if you would like to be involved.

iii.Firewall - setting up, and trying to break into

iv.Webserver serving dynamic content from a database (LAMP) - Bong, Matt
Graham, Clay Dowling
