[GLLUG] installfest flyer

Caleb, I've burned off a few xubuntu discs. It is a matter of me
looking around for them. Also, ubuntu recently sent me a bunch of
Kubuntu discs.

Eduardo/rest of group, I don't think it would be worth it to install
Breezy (5.10). While it is only a version back, I think the updates
are so measurable that it would be a waste to do so, if we can avoid
it. While I've heard update from version to version are not difficult,
I'm not sure it will really be worthwhile.

If someone is going to burn discs, I suggest downloading and burning
the alternative image, versus the live-cd image. If you have installed
Ubuntu/Kubuntu pre-Dapper, you will know the alternative image better
as the "install image". It is text based install, and just as easy as
graphical through the live cd. The advantage of this is that you do
not need to wait for the OS to load before you can install, and
ram/processor isn't used on supporting the OS instead of the install.
Also, I've found on some computers with poor/slow CD-rom drives that
they won't boot the live cd, but that the alternative works just fine.

Just my .02

Karl
