Yes. I use it all the time. It plots (by default) writes in orange and reads 
in blue. I have it set up to aggregate all the disks (HDD, optical, etc) as 
one ('composite') graph, but it can be configured to display plots for 
individual devices too (including the floppy disk drive, if anyone still uses 
those ;^} ).

'GKrellM' is a very useful monitoring tool for CPU, disk, memory (including 
swap), Ethernet, (CPU and mobo) temperatures, fan speed(s), etc.  (And it 
comes with Slackware by default these days -- another bonus.)
