Agenda: Introduction to SQL

Clay Dowling will give a brief introduction to SQL (structured query
language), the industry standard for querying and otherwise interacting
with modern databases. SQL is much too large a topic to completely cover
in one evening, though a good introduction can give a neophyte enough
footing to strike out on their own. Topics to be covered are: data
definition (creating tables and indexes); simple selection; inserting,
updating, and deleting data; calculations in queries; and simple joins.

Please take a moment to RSVP if you plan to attend this meeting so
that we can get a general idea of how many will show up. Just reply to
this message (with the GLLUG list address in the "To:" field)
indicating your desire to attend and/or change the message Subject to
"RSVP". Thanks!
