(Quoted, in part, from someone else's posting.)

And so it begins... the worst fears about the Microsoft/Novell "deal"
now appear to be confirmed:
http://blog.seattlepi.nwsource.com/microsoft/archives/108806.asp

Especially interesting is the part where Ballmer states:

"to the degree that people are going to deploy Linux, we want Suse Linux
to have the highest percent share of that, because only a customer who
has Suse Linux actually has paid properly for the use of intellectual
property from Microsoft."

And:

"...anybody who has got Linux in their data center today sort of has an
undisclosed balance sheet liability..."

"Sort of," he says. This "intellectual property" vagueness seems VERY
familiar. Hmmm...

So the war is now officially on. Since the SCO ploy failed, Ballmer has
now gone to plan B-- Microsoft (and Novell) are the NEW SCO. Hopefully
this a useful wake-up call for people who've been in denial about this.
