Do what I do:  Mounted SVN WCs.  Only really useful if the flash drive 
isn't one of those cheap-o sluggish NOR-based drives.

I also put the latest release version of VerifyMyPC on my flash drive so 
I can quickly install it everywhere.


BTW, that reminds me, I'm almost done with a (PowerPoint) presentation 
on Subversion - specifically focusing on TortoiseSVN.  Charles and I 
probably need to chat some meeting about where we can fit this in.  I 
realize TSVN is Windows, but it is based on Subversion and is open 
source, so it shouldn't be a huge pill to swallow.
