[GLLUG] Swapped Motherboards

Okay so I swapped (due to that locking up issue) - I haven't even TRIED booting into windows yet.  Ubuntu takes FOREVER to boot now (over 4 minutes) and it's an AMD 4000+.

Plus now the sound doesn't work right.  I had to hassle with it before to get it to work when I upgraded to Gutsy.  Is there a simple command to reconfigure everything?  The sound works when the login screen comes up but once I log in the 'login' and 'logout' sounds don't work anymore.  Plus the mouse-over preview stopped working as well.  Any ideas?  It's weird how it hangs when it boots.  It just sits there with the progress bar in the same spot for minutes and I can session over to see what is happening.
