Ah.  Hmm, I'm not so sure that's a good idea, but maybe in the general
case...  I guess it does explain, though, why he didn't comment when I
first replied with that.

You could also boot the system from a CD, mount the partition that has
/etc on it, and get a look at the hosts file.  Is that something you would
feel comfortable doing, Jordan?
